 Description

Is there a specific reason a subscription is tied to a rate group?
It seems that these should be used to bill recurring monthly services/features. I.e. Fax, Additional Extensions, 800 service etc.

I have also noticed that you can only assign 1 subscription to a Customer. Ie. Only one of each type. It would be nice to be able to assign a QTY that would be used for billing. I.E.

Addtional Extenstion - with our service this is 10 bucks a month, but currently can only assign 1 10.00 charge thru extensions. It would be nice to add a QTY field so this could be assigned per account to allow multiple charges at invoice generation time.

I am willing to work on this modification, if we can get a consensus on how this should work.

[Samir] : If admin have common subscription charge to assign to specific rate group customers then rather assigning subscription to each customer, he can directly assign to rate group and all customers under that rate group will get that subscription automatically.

[Samir] : That's right

[Samir] : Sure. It will be good to add QTY field in subscription and billing done based on defined QTY. You can surely do modification for that and contribute to enhance subscription module. If you need any help then let us know.

If you want to assign specific subscription to specific customer then
create that subscription without rate group. After that go to customer
profile and assign him your created subscription.
