sendmail connection not sending notifications

From the other bug I reported on SMTP, I switched over to using "sendmail connection"

This is not functioning at all.

There is no error reported, nor nothing in the logs to indicate even an attempt at sending an email.

I tested the ability for the system to send an email with the "mail" command to a hotmail account, and was received.
